“我一直跟我的学生讲，这个项目的主要目的并不只是造房子。对我来说，更重要的是搭建一座中日友谊的桥梁……”带着这样的想法，日本建筑师坂茂来到了中国四川成都。 　　2008年，“512”大地震，成都市华林小学的两栋教学楼变成危房。坂茂设计的纸管结构房子，恰好适合作为过渡校舍使用。这位素以大胆使用材料闻名的建筑师，曾为世界各地的难民搭建避难所，这次成都之行似乎更有企盼。 　　然而美好愿望的背后，也不得不面临各种困难。8月份的成都，炎热的夏天让人焦躁不安。二十多个日本学生与中国志愿者难以沟通，民族与国家的观念仍旧牢固地存在大多数人的记忆里，不同的工作方式又拉大了彼此的鸿沟……但为了共同的目的，大家必须克服重重困难。在孩子们的期待中，三栋“纸房子”终于竣工完成…… 　　导演手记 　　得知“纸房子”即将动工，这个事件一下子吸引了我们。带着一台小DV和对纪录片的热爱，我们来到成都探寻这个理想化的建筑。过程并不如我们想象的顺利，但却因此得到一些意外收获。 　　在我们的协力之下，这部影片入选Cnex年度主题。高兴之余也感到压力。这又是一个过程，发现做影片跟盖房子如此的相似。
